TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Using Loom3D.

The terms for using Loom3D, its website and connected services.

Effective 7 September 2026

Who we are

Loom3D is provided by Hardwire Electronics Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 12091276. Our address is Unit 2E, Roxby Road Industrial Estate, Winterton, North Lincolnshire, DN15 9SU, United Kingdom.

These terms cover the Loom3D desktop app, website, cloud projects, public parts library and shared project views. Separate purchases from the Hardwire Electronics shop have their own terms. Contact us at contact@loom3d.co.uk or contact@hardwire-electronics.co.uk.

Using Loom3D

Loom3D is available to individuals and businesses for personal and commercial design work. We do not set a minimum age for using it. Any permissions required by the law that applies to you still apply. If you act for a business or another organisation, you must have authority to act on its behalf.

We give you a non-exclusive right to install and use Loom3D for these purposes, subject to these terms. We retain ownership of the software and our branding. You may share your own designs and outputs, but must not sell or redistribute the Loom3D software as your own, remove ownership notices, or copy or modify the software except where we permit it or the law allows it. Separate licences apply to third-party software included with Loom3D.

Loom3D is currently free to use. We may introduce paid licences or services in future. We will give advance notice of changes affecting free access and explain the available choices. You will not be charged unless you first agree to the price and applicable terms. There are no retrospective charges for your free use.

Beta releases are still being developed. Features may change and errors may occur. Keep independent backups and check that a release is suitable for your work before relying on it.

You are responsible for your designs

Loom3D is a design tool. It does not certify electrical safety, regulatory compliance or fitness for a particular application.

You are responsible for independently checking every design and output before manufacture, installation or use. This includes wiring connections, component specifications, current and voltage ratings, protection, dimensions, cut lengths, calculations, bills of materials and assembly instructions. Automated checks, library parts and exported documents do not replace competent engineering judgement, inspection or testing.

Hardwire Electronics Ltd does not approve, supervise or take responsibility for your engineering decisions or for manufacturing, installing or operating anything designed using Loom3D. You must arrange any professional review and testing appropriate to the application, particularly where failure could cause injury or damage. This allocation of design responsibility does not exclude the legal responsibilities described below.

Accounts and sharing

Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. Provide accurate account information and only use accounts you are authorised to use.

A cloud project's owner controls access to that cloud project. Creating a file originally does not, by itself, give that creator access to a cloud copy owned by another account. Check the account you are signed into and the people you invite before sharing.

Only share content you are entitled to share. Collaborators may edit or download content according to their permissions. Anyone with a shared viewing link may be able to view and save the published information. Removing access or revoking a link cannot recall copies already saved by someone else.

Your projects and content

You retain your rights in the projects, designs and other content you provide. Uploading a private project does not make it public or transfer ownership to us.

You give us permission to store, process, reproduce and transmit uploaded content only as needed to provide, secure and support the features you use, including sharing with recipients you authorise. We may use service providers for these purposes. This permission ends when it is no longer needed, subject to lawful retention, backups and copies you have authorised others to receive.

Keep your own backups of important projects and exports. Cloud synchronisation is not a substitute for an independent backup. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Agreeing to these terms does not opt you into optional usage statistics or error reporting.

Public library contributions

Submit only content you own or have permission to publish and license for the uses described here. Do not submit confidential information or assets whose third-party restrictions prevent those uses.

When you choose to publish a contribution, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt and distribute it through Loom3D's public library. You also allow library users to download, copy, adapt and incorporate it into their personal or commercial designs and related outputs.

These permissions continue after your account closes, so published contributions may remain available and existing users can continue using their copies. This does not transfer your ownership or remove your personal-data rights. Contact us about attribution or privacy concerns.

We may moderate or remove contributions that infringe rights, are misleading or breach these terms. Library availability and moderation do not guarantee a part's accuracy, safety or suitability. Check it against reliable specifications before use.

Updates, availability and support

We provide support on a best-effort basis, without a guaranteed response time. We aim to keep online services available, but maintenance, faults and events outside our reasonable control may interrupt them. We do not promise uninterrupted access.

We may require an update to maintain compatibility, security or supported features. We will explain required updates in the app. Where an update becomes required while you are working, you will be able to save that work before updating. Older versions may be prevented from opening the workspace on a later start.

We will give reasonable advance notice of significant reductions to cloud services or their withdrawal where practicable, and normally provide at least 30 days to download affected projects. Urgent security or legal requirements may require shorter notice.

Closing your account

You can request account closure by contacting us. We will normally give you 30 days to download your cloud projects before deleting them, unless you request earlier deletion or a legal or urgent security requirement prevents this. Contact us if normal download access is unavailable during that period.

Before closing an account, download anything you need and consider other people who rely on your shared projects. Closing the owner's account may end their access to those cloud projects. Local files on your device and copies already downloaded by others are not automatically deleted. Public library contributions are treated as described above.

Deletion from backups and retention of records needed for legal or security reasons follow our Privacy Policy. The 30-day download period is not a promise that every backup or legally required record is erased on that date.

Acceptable use and suspension

Do not use Loom3D unlawfully, infringe others' rights, upload malicious material, attempt unauthorised access, or deliberately disrupt the service. Do not use shared features to harass others or distribute unlawful content.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a serious or repeated breach, protect users or comply with law. Where practical, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve the issue. Immediate restrictions may be necessary for urgent risks. You can contact us to ask for a review. Where safe and lawful, we will help you retrieve your own projects.

Our responsibility and your legal rights

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These terms do not take away mandatory consumer rights.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence or was contemplated by both parties when the agreement was made. Any statutory rights relating to defective digital content remain available.

If you use Loom3D for business purposes, we are not responsible for loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or anticipated savings, or indirect or consequential loss, subject to the exclusions from limitation above and the legal requirement for contractual limits to be reasonable.

We are not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate information you supply, unauthorised modifications, or your failure to carry out appropriate design checks and testing, except to the extent that our own breach or negligence caused or contributed to that loss.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to Loom3D, legal requirements or the way we provide services. We will identify the revised date and give reasonable advance notice of material changes. Where your agreement is needed, we will ask for it before applying the change. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights you already have. If you do not wish to accept a material change, you can stop using the affected service and request closure with an opportunity to download your projects as described above.

Questions, complaints and disputes

Please contact contact@loom3d.co.uk with questions or complaints so we can try to resolve them.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. For business users, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Consumers retain the protection of mandatory laws and any rights to bring proceedings in the courts of their home jurisdiction; nothing here removes those protections.
